God, in His rich mercy and for His great love for us, revived us from the dead, which we were in sin, even as He revived Christ from the grave. Together we are raised up to sit with Him in Heaven, so that His grace may be evident through our salvation. For our salvation is a gift of God, received in faith, by grace, not earned that none should boast. We are created anew in Christ, ordained to perform good works.
In the past, you were without Christ and without hope, but now through Christ, you are reconciled to God together with the children of promise, being made one in peace. By His death, He abolished the enmity, even the law, that two can become one in His body. By Him, both Gentile and Jew have access to the Father, as fellow citizens and members of the Household of God, being built as an holy temple, with Christ as the Chief Cornerstone.
