Ecclesiastes 5 Summary

When you approach the Throne of God, be careful that you do not speak as a fool, with many words and hasty promises.  If you make vows, you will be bound to them, and God will be displeased if you do not fulfil them.

Do not marvel that there is oppression and injustice in the world.  This comes by pride and greed.  But the profit of the Earth serves all, even the king.  However, those who are greedy for gain will never be satisfied.

The sleep of the labourer is sweet, but the affluent is robbed of his sleep by the riches he hoards, but cannot take away with him when he dies. Rather, enjoy life and the labour of your hands without vanity.
